#COSMOFashion's Fave Red-Carpet Looks from the 2018 Critics' Choice Awards

Our leading style stars 🌟

This year’s Golden Globes red carpet set the bar high for the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards, which took place last night. However, unlike the Golden Globes’ all-black #TimesUp protest, black was scarce on this red carpet.

Here’s who made the #COSMOFashion team’s best-dressed list.

Fashion Editor Cleo Marcopoulos:

Kate Bosworth in Brock Collection

‘The actress channelled old-school glamour in a long-sleeved white lace gown and showed us how to dominate the best-dressed list without showing skin. From the embellished neckline to giant bow accent – this was one of the best looks. I also loved her beauty choices – red lips and pulled-back hair.’

Gal Gadot in Prada

‘This budding actress (and one of my new faves) collected her #SeeHer award last night (given to boundary-pushing actresses) in style! One of the very few celebs who opted for high shine, Gal wore a metallic gown with a plunging neckline. Perhaps my favourite part of the dress is the encrusted waistline that featured black dangling gems.’

Fashion Assistant Clare Robertson:

Yara Shahidi in Giambattista Valli

‘Yara Shahidi was definitely my best-dressed choice in a purple masterpiece! She 100% proves that purple is having a big moment right now, as predicted by Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. JUST gorgeous.’

Angelina Jolie in Ralph & Russo

‘As per usual, Ange looked totally fab, flaunting that hot bod in an asymmetrically draped, ostrich-feather-detailed design. ‘

Fashion Intern Anke Nel:

Diane Kruger in Vera Wang

‘The In the Fade star had a very interesting but sophisticated look last night. She was spotted wearing a chic white gown with chain-mail detail. This was definitely one of her best looks yet, in my opinion. The clutch bag and ring complemented the gown perfectly.’

Nicole Kidman in Valentino

‘The Big Little Lies actress looked gorgeous in hot pink last night. The sheer gown definitely complemented her fair skin and made her glow. The ruffles were just enough to not overkill the look.’

Fashion Intern Lesego Mtsolongo:

Margot Robbie in Chanel

‘Margot looked breathtaking in a strapless Chanel dress which she paired with metallic Jimmy Choo sandals. I loved how her emerald-green ring perfectly matched the gems on her embellished belt. The tiers on the dress could have been risky but the belt ties the whole look together perfectly.’

Constance Wu in Galia Lahav

A post shared by Sthanlee B. Mirador (@sthanlee) on

‘Constance wore a gorge dress that reminded me of a ballerina. The coral colour complemented her skin tone and the simple jewellery finished off the look perfectly.’
