UPDATE 10th January 2017:
Following reports (see below) that Kim K’s Paris chauffeur is among the 17 suspects arrested for her robbery, there seems to be a link between her scary robbery and that of Naomi Campbell’s.
Campbell recently revealed that she too was robbed at gunpoint in Paris. During an interview on The Wendy Williams Show last week, Campbell shared how she suspected something was up when, in 2012, a driver she hadn’t used before picked her up from Paris’ airport.
‘[A group] followed me from the airport,’ she said. ‘They attacked me. They opened my car door and said, “Naomi Campbell, we’re going to kill you.” I didn’t make it so public. I didn’t want it to be. I think there’s a picture of me in a wheelchair at the time.’
Thankfully for Campbell, who was on her way to meet with designer Azzedine Alaïa, staff working at the Alaïa store in front of her home saw the attack and raised the alarm.
Campbell continued: ‘In the interim, you decide in a very split moment — I don’t know if I’d ever do this again in hindsight — “Am I going to let this guy take my bag with all my passports or am I going to fight for it?”,’ she said. ‘My decision was, “I am not letting my bag go.”‘
‘The driver was in on it. It’s a whole ring that’s been happening for a few years now,’ the supermodel claimed. ‘I very much sympathise with [Kim]. I felt for her right away. I hated hearing these stories that it wasn’t true. It was absolutely true, and it happened to me and it’s happened to a few other people that I’m not at liberty to say, but are well known also.’

Are the two high-profile robberies connected?
Shortly following the news that 17 suspects were arrested on Monday in connection with Kim Kardashian’s terrifying Paris robbery, new details have now emerged which suggest the whole thing might have been an inside job.
According to Le Monde, one of the suspects arrested on Monday was an employee for the limo company the Kardashian family normally uses on their trips to Paris. While police have not yet revealed the extent of the 27-year-old’s involvement in the case, E! News reports that he was likely the chauffeur who drove Kim back to her hotel on the night of the robbery, and might have provided the robbers with information about the reality star’s whereabouts and the fact that she was alone.
Multiple sources report that the majority of the suspects arrested on Monday were ‘seasoned criminals‘ with a history of drug trafficking and armed robberies, and according to the New York Times, ‘the suspects appeared to be part of an experienced group with connections to organised crime.’ People also reports that the five men who allegedly dressed up as police officers to gain access to Kim’s hotel have also been arrested, in part thanks to DNA evidence from the adhesive tape wrapped around the reality star’s wrists. The source adds that the average age of these men is 55 years old.
Otherwise, little information has been released so far about the three women and 14 men arrested, aside from the fact that the oldest amongst them — currently being identified as ‘Pierre B.’ — is 72 years old.
The Kardashian family has not yet commented on the arrests or the news that one of the suspects worked for their preferred Paris limo company.
