If you and your guy regularly part with a lengthy lip-lock, then you're lucky. 'A man with this goodbye habit is incredibly passionate and highly erotic,' says body-language expert Tonya Reiman. To be sure he's not only connecting with you sexually, share stuff with him – whether it's a problem with friends or an embarrassing story – and see if he's open to discussing it.

HE PUTS THE SQUEEZE ON
A guy who frequently says goodbye with a bear hug is comfortable showing you love. 'He's confident about the relationship and likely sees a future with you,' says communication expert Carolyn Finch. 'A total-body squeeze is his subconscious way of letting you know he's committed.' Another bonus: He probably tells you often how he feels.

HE HALF-ASSES IT
When parting, some guys often give only a quick peck or a one armed hug with little effort. Why? 'He might be distracted or just late for work,' says Reiman. 'But if your boyfriend routinely has said goodbye this way from the beginning, he's guarded and doesn't emote easily.' Warning: If he started pulling this lazy move recently, he may be feeling ambivalent about the relationship.

HE GIVES YOU A SWEET KISS
If nine times of 10 he plants a soft, tender kiss on your cheek, then your beau is the sensitive type. 'This is a paternal gesture that shows he wants to take care of you,' explains Finch. You don't want things to get too brother-sister between you though. To prevent that, send him off with a spicier goodbye now and then.
