1 You've decided you need a career change to follow your passion, but you have no experience. What's your next move?
  • Become an unpaid intern to gain experience.
  • Scan BizCommunity and apply for a few positions regardless.
  • Momentarily stay at your current job, but complete courses that will help build your skills.
2 It's your first day at your new job and your boss makes gives you her morning coffee order. What do you say?
  • 'Wouldn't you rather have a cappuccino? I can whip one up in no time!'
  • Sure. I was just about to make myself a cup anyway. How many sugars do you take?'
  • 'Excuse me?!'
3 At 4.30pm your boss asks if someone in your team can help put together a last-minute presentation for an important client. What do you do?
  • You've got your earphones on and simply pretend you can't hear. Maybe someone else will volunteer first.
  • If no one volunteers after a few minutes, you tell her you'll work on it.
  • Immediately offer to stay late to work on it.
4 You have a tough 2.30pm deadline, but it's your anniversary and you've planned to meet your man for lunch. You…

  • Aren't worried, you finished your work an hour ago.
  • Only have a few loose ends to tie up and will definitely be ready by the deadline. There's no need to cancel lunch.
5 You've been given a poorly thought-out brief. You understand the concept and what the end result should be, but know you can improve on it. What do you do?
  • Speak to your boss about your possible improvements.
  • Follow the instructions to the letter. It's what you've been given, right?
  • Alter the brief slightly without informing your boss. You're sure it will pay off in the end.
6 You've been handed an indescribable amount of work. It's 4:55pm. And the deadline's tomorrow. At 10am... What do you do?
  • Begin, but leave after 30 minutes. You'd rather come in early tomorrow and get a fresh start.
  • Work until you've completed everything, even it is 11pm.
  • Leave at 5pm. You'll get started on it tomorrow and simply make you boss understand the problem with impractical deadlines.
