Up until now, you could only buy unisex Converse, but since high-tops and sneakers are all the rage on the streets, the brand has decided to create a colourful range of ladies-specific sneakers. And boy, are they hot.

We love the Chuck Taylor All Star Speciality high-tops in Gothic Grape from the Converse Spring/Summer 2010 collection, which adds a touch of femininity to the already established high-tops. The Gothic Grape sneaker is a once-off, seasonal design – only 120 pairs have been manufactured.

While they will only be in stores from September, due their exclusivity, we thought we'd give you a heads-up. The Chuck Taylor All Star Speciality high-tops in Gothic Grape will be available from Sportscene at the recommended retail price of R649.
