December seems very far away (because it is), but with a few changes to your workplace, you can feel like you’re on holiday throughout the year.

But remember, there’s a difference between keeping yourself motivated by recalling fond memories of past holidays and just shutting down all together, warns Martyn. You don’t want to risk losing your job.

ON HOLIDAY TIP #1	Smell it, taste it: Psychologists believe by using hotel soap or cooking food you ate while on holiday lets you relive the happy memories. ‘This is a lovely way to be instantly transported back to your special holiday and relive those wonderful memories.’ For example, says Martyn, coffees and teas from your holiday destination can be enjoyed at your desk. Alternatively, bring sweet treats to work so your team can enjoy and share the experience with you, she suggests. ‘This is a great way to share your fond memories and create positive energy within your workplace…v and your co-workers will be delighted.’
