AT THE DOCTOR Check-Up #11: Moles
It is important to have your moles checked out on a regular basis, says dermatologist, Dr Ean Smit. This is especially relevant if you like lounging around in the sun. Depending on how active you are, you need to make sure you talk to your doctor about sun protection, he says. ‘Do all you can to prevent skin cancer at an early age.’

Check-Up #12: Ageing
Now is the time to start thinking about preventing your skin from ageing, says Smit. Get your dermatologist to look you over and advise you on how to preserve your skin’s elasticity, he adds. You can start by cleansing, applying sun protection and using antioxidant-enriched products to protect your skin from free radicals, he says.
